Nice Railway station/restaurant. We drove to Strahan from Queenstown and could not take the train, as we had our dog with us. But we did enjoy the atmosphere of the train station. The servie was very friendly and the food was decent Australian fare.

The train ride is between Strahan, Dubbil Barril and Queenstown. When we went there, only half-way rides between Strahan and Dubbil Barril and rides between Queenstown and Dubbil Barril were running due to staffing shortages. The train rides were accompanied by audio introductions of local history, as well as short rainforest walks at Lower Landing and Dubbil Barril stations. Highly recommended. We bought the heritage class tickets and the carriage felt a bit too crowded; lunch wasn’t included in our ticket either. This experience is still highly recommended. PS make sure you inquire with them if you expect steam engine locomotives - we had a diesel one for our ride.

I went to catch the train to Blackburn from Camberwell this morning with my bike unfortunately there were replacement buses which I wasn't allowed to take my bike on. This didn't phase me too much as I alternatively rode as this was the only option. What did phase me was the fact that one of the buses to that I wanted to be on merged into the side of me, yes the bus popped on it's indicator, didn't look and then drove into me, let passengers on and then drove off. Excellent train service. The worlds only totally solar powered train. Runs every 60 minutes throughout the day.

Fine track maintenance delivered by even finer people

The best part besides the authentic steam train is the very informative commentary coupled with enthusiasm for the rich local history. If you enjoy a little history along the way this ride is worthwhile

Friendly family oriented. Staff are lovely accommodating.

Every time I use metro, especially in the weekend , I feel like I am playing the roulette.Delays are daily and often I have to leave random stations after delays are announced and take an uber that costs me money on top of the money spent on the train to nowhere.Staff members are not very useful when questioned in regards to the delays , most times I feel like I am talking to a wall of bricks, completely hopelessCannot fully rely on it to get to work on time .Extremely disappointedWish I was able to give zero stars
