Cristina knew exactly what I had envisioned despite me not even knowing yet. It was the perfect dress for me & I count my lucky stars we crossed paths. Gwendolynne is an absolute gem. I am so glad I chose to have my dress made by her. It was truly the most lovely experience. Gwendolynne made me feel so comfortable, and the end result was truly exquisite. The amount of time, detail and care that goes into each piece is truly outstanding. She is so talented. I cannot recommend her highly enough.She is a beautiful soul and so kind and patient. I can be quite indecisive, but Gwendolynne gave me all the time I needed. I never felt rushed and always left feeling calm and so happy with my dress.On top of making my dress, she also made myself and my bridesmaids earrings-quite last minute too. Once again, so talented. The earrings were beautiful, they complimented the dress perfectly. She also gave them to us in the most beautiful, antique looking box. D'Italia, ALL MY DREAMS COME TRUE! I mean it completely. When I was 14 years old I was picking out my school formal dress when I spotted d'Italia's store. I told myself 'one day when I get married, d'Italia will make my dress'. Fast forward 18 years and I checked and d'Italia was still there and they had ONE SPOT left for me before my wedding date!From start to finish, it was the best experience - I sent in my dream design and they helped me choose the perfect Italian silk, working with my budget and taste (and mum's input always important, right?). Very affordable and they were clearly knowledgeable. I would say if anyone is unsure, just trust them :) They have lots of experience!I was then sent on to Eva who made the dress. She was the absolute BEST! I could not recommend her more. She listened to everything I had in mind and she explained her process as we went along. Honestly, I think she is magical and can do anything. She talked me into wearing a veil too and I'm so glad she did. We went from me wearing no veil to a 3m veil...so just a heads up, that can also happen and no regrets. It was perfect and the look would not have been complete without it. Eva is also just a wonderful person and I was sad when the process was over because I'm going to miss our fittings! We had so much fun!I have to add; there is nothing like the experience of having a dress made just for you. It fits like a second skin and is so comfortable to wear. I have never felt so good :)The only sad thing is that I don't get to wear my wedding dress every day for the rest of my life. I just want to say the biggest thank you to d'Italia, because I'm still in disbelief that you made it possible for me to be able to wear my ultimate dream dress. Thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my heart! x

From the very beginning, I had a stressful time with Kate. I found her very difficult to get into contact with and when I did, I could never get a straight answer. I wasn't kept in the loop about my dress and what was going on with it until the very end and only after I had asked about it.I made the trip down to Melbourne from Wodonga to have my fitting, as I was told the week before that the dress was ready, only to make it down there and be told by the fitter chosen (who has nothing to do with Kate's business) that the dress never arrived. As I tried to contact Kate, again, she was hard to get a hold of and there was barely an apology about it still being in production.I organised another time to get it fitted and gave her the opportunity to tell me when she was able to drop it off that the fitters. She told me she forgot" to drop it off before my appointment

I cannot give enough praise to Daphne at Allure Bridal Couture. She went above and beyond to help create the perfect wedding dress. She made me feel like a princess! Her attention to detail and passion in Bridal Couture truly shines through in each masterpiece that she creates. Not only did she design and create my dream wedding dress, but she also custom made four bridesmaids dresses. The girls looked stunning! What an experience…Having lost my Mum a couple of years ago, I was aware that the process of creating my dream dress would be an emotional and potentially difficult time for me.However, after meeting the girls at D’Italia with my sister by my side, I was put at ease as my dress was created on paper before my eyes. We then talked beautiful fabrics and of course the pearl veil and then Shuchi and Para referred me to my dressmaker for me to meet with. I can’t thank them enough for the guidance they provided throughout these early stages of the journey I was about to embark on.And then I met Mary. What a woman. A ray of sunshine and a beautiful, kind human with a flare for fashion and style. My dressmaker was something else. We met initially to discuss exactly what I wanted. The next consultation that followed included my measurements. Mary then created a mock up version in calico of my beautiful dress and I immediately knew it was right- it was just like my inspo pictures I had walked in with at the beginning. The following consultation provided me with endless opportunities to change the dress as I wanted, but Mary and I had always been on the same page and I had been so happy with everything she had done so I never had to change much at all! In the end, she had created my dream dress, one I had envisioned for years prior. I will be forever thankful for crossing paths with Mary- she helped to fill a very big void in my life at what is a very emotional and testing time and she created a masterpiece, different to any other gown I had tried on or seen. I can’t recommend her highly enough, or the girls at D’Italia for their professionalism and expertise. Thank you from the bottom of my heart- I will always reflect on the most timeless and beautiful dress, as well the process and people it took to create it, with fondness and love.❤️❤️❤️

When I started looking for my wedding dress I had been to a few bridal stores and tried on a handful of dresses, and I still hadn't found anything that spoke to me. My mum found Daphne's store and we organised an appointment to meet with her. When I tried on the very first dress at Allure Bridal I knew that we had found something special. Daphne was happy to customise my dress however I wanted. We actually ended up using two of her designs and making them into the one dress. Once we had finalised the design, working with Daphne each week and seeing my dress come to life was so much fun and was one less stress I had to worry about while planning my wedding. Daphne made the whole process so seamless, and if there was anything that I wasn't happy with, she was always happy to make any changes.I received so many compliments on my wedding day, it was the perfect day and I was able to have my perfect dress, thanks to Daphne.

As much as I felt like a beautiful bride on the day of my wedding, unfortunately the experience I had with Leah and her team was far for pleasant.No direction was given, we are first time brides we don’t understand the process nor do we know how things work in the dress making industry, more guidance would’ve been great.Unfortunately my measurements were used from 2 years before (pre covid) when I first tried on the dress. I was told I would be contacted again in a years time for updated measurements, this never happened and then when I questioned this they said no it’s okay we don’t need new measurements, I assumed when I went in for my next appointment that new measurements would be taken but instead when I got there my dress was already made. I then had to pay so much more money to get it altered! With no apology or responsibility taken. On top of going over budget with the cost of extra alterations that I didn’t expect, + flying to sydney twice, I then had to get the bust altered again back in Melbourne as it wasn’t fixed properly by Leah and her team.I feel like if your not spending over $20,000 your just a number and they couldn’t care any less. If I had to do it over I would definitely not go with this designer.
