Retirement home

RE: Resident Pat Lane, posted for StephenOn the 6th May, I visited my sister who is a resident at Sarah Claydon, Milton. After travelling from Tasmania for the visit, I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and quality of the centre. I found the staff were friendly, helpful and caring towards the residents. In particular we were welcomed and assisted by nurse Sandra who was very helpful and kind to us. I left the centre contented that my sister was in good care. Written by Stephen

Very nice units and facility, But the residents complain about the food, that is always an issue in retirement villages, the residents need to be heard.

My nanna lived in Perry Park, she had Alzheimer’s. Her clothes were not getting changed. Her teeth weren’t being cleaned, we had to approach the nurses and ask them to brush her teeth daily. My poppy is now in Perry Park to recover post surgery. He had a serious knee reconstruction. Our family were promised by the physiotherapist in P. Park that he would receive therapy that was direly needed, particularly as it was his first week post op. He did not receive this. His clothes were not being changed, nor cleaned. If you care about your loved ones, please be careful about your choice of nursing home.

I have visited Willow Glen a number of times and found the residents are friendly, happy and welcoming. The village is well managed, with great facilities and plenty to do. Close to all the major shops, takeaway outlets and a medical practices. Great place for retirement living.

Nice and peaceful

I'd like to thank Sue, Robin, Kate, Dana and all of the staff that looked after Mum, sometimes in very difficult circumstances. Dr Nash was very good too. I'm convinced we made the right choice in this aged care facility and I would recommend them to anyone.
