Specialized hospital

Reflecting other feedback here regarding reception staff. The lady who answers the phone (I’m assuming it’s reception), was very unpleasant. It’s not necessary to be condescending or passive aggressive, being a kind human is not difficult. The owner of this business should consider how their customer-facing staff reflect poorly on and undermine their entire operation.

We received great service when our puppy ate something he shouldn’t have. He was seen quickly and sent home with us shortly after. Thank you team for your efficient service after hours!

A big thank you to and for everyone at ARH Essendon. I lost my cat Charlie 2 weeks ago. They were honest, yet caring and I'm so Thankful Charlie's last moments were with myself and the lovely team at ARH.

Bree and Dr James helped our family so very much when it was time for our girl Mushu to go to sleep. They took us in at very short notice and made Mushu and ourselves so comfortable. Thanks guys.

I feel obliged to leave a review after the excellent service received from the people at the hospital.These people are under the pump all the time and it was amazing seeing them with a kind positive and professional attitude all the time even though it was very late at night.Beside the bad experience of having my cat sick, I am glad I found the Animal Referral Hospital and I'm thankful for the effort everyone made to make me feel reassured that they were doing their best for Marcello, my cat.THANK YOU!!

I had my dog in for a double pelvic osteotomy for hip dysplasia early this year, she has just received the all clear and can go back to being a full of energy pup again, I thoroughly recommend this place, Dr Jacob Michaelson and Dr Jack Davey we’re very approachable and answered any questions I had, the reception staff were always polite and friendly despite major computer system problems, the vets and nurses must’ve treat my pup very well as she had no hesitations in going back there for her check up

We frequently use Better Vet Referrals for orthopaedic procedures at our clinic. Ralph and Tracey are excellent and I cannot praise them enough. They not only have top-notch clinical skills but enviable bedside manner and bags of empathy for our mutual patients (and clients) as well. Our clients love them as well and wouldn't have trouble recommending them to others.

Rang through for an emergency and was able to bring my dog in, informed them that he has issues with strangers, staff (friendly and so professional) had the room ready so we could avoid being around strangers which made us so happy as there was less stress for my dog. Dr Rachel was amazing, she waited patiently asking questions until my dog got comfortable enough to be checked. She (and everyone else there) were simply amazing

My dog Pippa recently required surgery due to a luxating patella (issues with her knee cap). After several opinions from vets and specialists, I chose Better Veterinary Referrals to perform the surgery at my nominated vet. Ralph and Tracey were extremely patient in taking the time explain the procedure so that I felt comfortable and understood everything. The surgery was completed as expected and Pippa's recovery has been fantastic. I highly recommend the wonderful team at Better Veterinary Referrals, they are a highly skilled team and have a genuine passion for your pet.

Friendly and efficient staff, great premises and easy parking. Makes a nice change from battling the carpark at Murdoch.
