DJ supply store

I hired equipment and an operator from these guys for a wedding. Overall things went reasonably well and we even got some system upgrades we didn't pay for. Inevitably though some things did go wrong. This is totally reasonable and understandable though.Regarding these issues that we had (which were mostly around missed cues and ordered equipment which wasnt provided) I reached out to the company via email on January 28 regarding my wedding on January 22 and it took multiple emails and about 4 months of waiting to get them to reply to me. When they eventually replied they showed an invoice from January 23rd (the day after the wedding) showing a trade discount. With a bit of back and forth they were eventually able to provide me the refund I required. Although I am still a little confused as to why they took so long to get back to me.Overall they are good value and I would recommend you go with them if you are a Wollongong local. However if you are from Sydney or surrounds they aren't the most organised so you may encounter some troubles with deliveries and/or operators.Ideally I would go with 2.5 stars however Google doesn't allow for this. Justification being that technology provided was good value but disorganised practices and poor communication. Also when you consider the parts of the event that the operator we hired got right, it may have been cheaper just to get a friend to do the work so not good value there.

Great prices. Amazing selection. Dudes are ultra friendly. Went out of their way to help me find the items I needed quickly and recommended some decent monitors.

Aaron and the team from Mac DJs were great for our wedding. Everything ran smooth, team was very lovely and helpful would recommend :)

Very happy with my Derringers experience.I purchased an amp which had an issue and was mucked about a bit from the manufacturer trying to get it resolved, once Derringers found out they took it back and gave me a really killer price on a more expensive item for the inconvenience.Happy Customer, will shop here again.

I have spent well over 100k with these guys over the past 6 years.Recently I was told we are too busy to do discounts.Another time they wanted to charge me a repackaging fee of 20% because they didn't know if a DMX controller would work with my lights.Richmond is the store to go. This one they are fairly clueless and unhelpful.

This place has such a good range of instruments, and the people who worked there were incredibly nice to me. All the guitars that are on display are all properly set up, so everything plays like a charm. Though I live on the other side of the city, I'll try to always find an excuse to visit the place on more time.

Buzz speaker hire did the sound and audio for my brothers wedding and they were great. We hired some pioneer cdjs and two large speakers. Equipment was awesome and the party rocked. Highly recommended and low cost

Was trying to find some good quality audio gears to hire for a birthday party and ended up finding DJ Direct. I was surprised with the audio quality of the speakers, I had it on loud volume through out the whole gig and the speakers did not even hiss or crack. The sound (EQ) was consistent and it caught me by surprise. Spoke with the owner and he was great, easy to talk with provides great advice. Highly recommended! You won't be disappointed!
