Cannot recommend this restaurant enough!My partner and I came here to treat ourselves after a long time of van-life cooking, and we are so thrilled we did. The Mee Kacang was beautiful, filled with so many complementary flavours (I would advise only adding the side of chilli sauce if you can handle your spice!) and was a perfect portion size. The deep-fried banana for dessert was also absolutely delicious! The staff are extremely friendly, attentive and hospitable, and the meals came out in a timely fashion. Truly excellent, and a credit to Napier!

A very solid place to try some Kiwi culture cuisine- it's got a mixed bag vibe but the overarching theme is classic fish and chips casual, which I was grateful for.

Came here from Wellington for a weekend getaway and stumbled upon this place which serves one of my favorite Malaysian dishes - chilli pan mee. Was super authentic and really enjoyed my meal, despite the slightly long wait.

NZ snacks are affordable here. Love it, and i always have to leave with itemsNot a fan of their meat pies though.Stores always full with customers and never keep their distance, staff are also lovely.

Good food, particularly the fish. Only change would be making the chips like they used to make them - crunchy and tasty. Used to be the best in Perth. Not sure what's happened but the chips now taste bland, like most other fish and chip shops.

I'm from Malaysia and I really like the taste and authenticity of the foods in this restaurant, I've tried most of the stuff on the menu and they're all yummy and taste close to home. Would definitely recommend to everyone! The drinks like teh tarik and syrup bandung are authentic too, especially the syrup bandung, it is better than what I had back at home! Keep an eye out for today's special too, I had Lamb Shank with curry n they tasted amazing!

The Flying Fish has always been on our list of favourites. When we decide we want take away & want Fish & Chips, Flying Fish is the first food chain that comes to mind.Their customer service has always been great. When you become a regular customer you get to know the staff & other regular customers which creates a great comradery there.Many thanks to the hard working owners & staff at The Flying Fish. Had good old fashioned fish and chips wrapped in paper last night for supper and it was bloody lovely!!! Ordered via Uber eats, I think (step daughter did the technical stuff) they forgot the bottle of pop but soon came back to drop it off.Top notch feed and they even had scraps! My heart just about melted.

Hmmm was looking for a decent feed, sadly wasn't what I expected from this kiwi shop. Not much variety of cooked food available. Caramel donut tasted like coconut cream bun filling, not fresh at all. Mainaise was yuck! Friendly customer service though...

Thanks very much for an awesome meal on day after New Year. Delicious food and excellent service from very attentive staff, even on a busy lunch time day with a full house. Well done FHL and Ms Ong, the sole waiteress multi-tasking with a friendly smile for everyone. Very happy to support such a hardworking and friendly local business.
