Afghan restaurant

I’ve not eaten Afghani food before so l asked the serving staff for advice. They were very helpful on advising on the most popular meals. We were not disappointed. It was fantastic. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Fabulous takeaway food at good price, big serving. Lamb and chicken curries to die for!

Excellent service, the waiter was very nice. The menu is not very extensive but the food is tasty and good portions.

Most disappointing cheat meal. Over $60 for a full rack" of lamb ribs (pictured)

Amazing. Everything served was beyond expectation! The dumplings were yummy, I had the saffron chicken which was absolutely delicious and my partner had the lamb stew which was also brilliant.Serving sizes were huge and the rice was the fluffiest I've ever had in my life. Presentation of all the dishes were outstanding.Can't wait to go back again already! (Keen to go back with a large group of people so I can try even more dishes!)

This place was my first dine out place in Adelaide 2015 and I only remembered the pack of people queued to the back beyond capacity inside the shop. The fresh homemade bread was made in the traditional tandoor in front of the counter.The chicken kebab and pita bread are so delicious and tasty. ☆5Other charcoal Kebab meat was a little salty or hard and tasty. ☆3I normally don't like the yogurt sauce but it was mild and didn't have acidity to go with kebab. ☆5Biryani was very mild and tasty. It just missing the fragrance of fresh spice. ☆4Friendly customer service and a lot of regular customers were coming to pick up their takeaway food.Overall ☆4.5 but the pita bread is unbeatable.

Visited the restaurant twice in two weeks and the food quality is superb. The same deliciousness and freshness of food. Warm plates and beautiful hospitality. This has become our family favourite. The kebabs,Bonjon, Kabuli palaw and the Falooda...happiness galore. A++

Absolutely loved the dinner here. Ordered the Banquet here for two, paid 45 dollars per person. The curries were extremely tasty: daal gosht and kadhai chicken. Food was extremely fresh. Flavours were extremely lovely. Better book a table before you come.

We went to Afghan Village Restaurant for dinner and got a bit of everything; lamb korma, chicken khandahari, kofta meat balls, some grills & entrees (as part of the Special Banquet - 4 entrees, 4 mains, desserts & a hot drink @68pp). The portions were not big, and I thought a lot of the dishes were tomato heavy so they had very similar flavour profiles, but it could just be an Afghani thing. I did enjoy the meat balls and the mixed grills (and the flavourful Kabuli Palau rice that came with the kormas), as well as Firnee which was a delectable dessert of rose water flavoured custard. Service was quick, staff members were very friendly.

Wasn't worth the hype. We ordered the mixed skewers for two however both the lamb and chicken skewers were tasteless and too dry. Definitely needed more sauce and spices. Would have given 2 stars, however the biryani was their saving grace. Also understand pretty much all places have a public surcharge, however there was no mention of this anywhere on the menu or inside the restaurant.
