Read good reviews on Google. True enough, the food was delicious and the ambience was perfect. Ordered the seafood platter and they forgot the prawns and we didn't notice it. But they were honest and brought it to us eventually! The oysters were very fresh!

First and last time I’ll visit Moana. Very disappointed with the service. Our waitress was pretty casual, felt like I was having dinner at a pub. We could tell we were being rushed out. The booking was from 7:30-9:30 but they wanted us out at 8:30. When we go out always order some bread and a drink to start, followed by entree, main and usually share a desert or finish with a night cap. However we ordered a drink and some bread and the waitress said, do you know what you want for main? No offer of entrees or anything. She kept asking what we wanted for mains but we had to say, we aren’t in a rush, we want to enjoy our food and have entrees before mains. We were then told at 8:15 that the kitchen is closing soon so we have to place our main order. Then another waiter came over in a hurry and abruptly took our order. It was a terrible experience. No offer of dessert or more drinks. We were made to feel like we had to leave as soon as we finished our last mouthful of food so ended up sculling our drinks and left. For a Saturday night this isn’t the vibe we were looking for.The food was so overpriced for the quality and sizes. The seafood risotto was bland and basic. Don’t bother going to this restaurant, just go to Edgewater at Capri Via Roma if you want good service, ambiance and food.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Moana, beautiful meals, great service and gorgeous setting. Google made it a little hard to find, luckily we researched it before the night. Have tried resetting the map but still not sure if it has updated so I'd check before heading out.

An amazing selection of food and drinks also providing plenty of gluten free options from starters and entrees through to mains and desserts. The food was fantastic with all our selections being cooked to perfection. The front of counter staff were very friendly and attentive and helpful making sure everything was good with the meal. However the one downside was with 3 kids who wanted a night off from eating their veges we were not allowed to swap out the vegetables from any of their mains for chips so we had to purchase a side order of chips for each of them costing extra money and the veges going to waste.... Other than that would recommend

We've just enjoyed a wonderful lunch celebrating our 43rd Anniversary. Hard to choose from an extensive menu. Went with shared bread and dip followed by Barramundi and whole lobster mornay . All food extremely fresh and tasty. Fitted in passion fruit mousse....you must try it. Delicious. Thankyou Adam and Sarah for your attentive service. We will be back.

We were in town and from google and TripAdvisor reviews it seems interested to try. My gf, cousin and I venture to Moana with an open mind. We booked reservations for Tuesday at 1:00pm and there was only 3 tables of diners with one table that already finished eating. We order cocktails and were impressed. The dozen natural oysters had a very strong taste and when I requested extra lemon from the waitress she never brought them and forgot to refill our water glass. We ordered mussels, seared scallops and Ota ika as appetizers. Ota ika was a total nightmare as the coconut cream tasted old and had a very pungent taste and unable to finish it. The mussels was a well balanced and seasoned dish. As for the entree we ordered baby octopus salad, Australian snapper and whole New Zealand sole dish. The best entree was the salad. The snapper dish came with a buerre blanc that just had too much butter and over powdered everything. I had to ask for extra lemons to cut the sauce to make it edible (server remember the lemons this time). The snapper was over cooked, didn’t have the flaky texture and I was only able to finish half of the plate. The sole dish was seasoned very floral and my gf was only able to finish half of it. Both fish entree dishes came with fried small whole potatoes. In my opinion the fried potatoes were a weird addition. After we went home we had stomach pains. We all agreed that we would not return to this restaurant to eat but only for the cocktails. Not worth the calories. For such a slow restaurant I would of expected the wait staff to be on point and on their A game.
