Goorambat Veterans' Retreat Inc.
Thanks Phil and Jo for looking after me and my grandson. It was a great place to stay and we were made most welcome. We were on our way bush but the weather looked like heavy rain so I called Phil and he was more than happy to take us in. The place was well equipped and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked and very clean as were the showers and toilets. The next night we camped in the bush and were joined by my son. We had 3 generation camping in the scrub.Again thank Phil and JoPeter Lucas, Ex Craftsman, 106 Field Workshop 68,69

Good place for a meal. The dishes we chose were a 7 out of ten, a little to greasy. But were jealous of what we saw others eating. Will change my order next visit.

Had one of the lunch specials here today and found it to be absolute rubbish. Satay Beef and Fried Rice. I'm all but certain the rice had never seen the inside of a wok, reheated microwave rubbish that looked and tasted like boiled rice with the inclusion of what has now become, normal cheap ham as opposed to sweet roast pork, a little egg and garnished with a bit of spring onion. The satay beef wasn't the worst I have had, but was far to oily to make it enjoyable. This seems to be the norm for Don's kitchen...it's either real good or real bad.

I have been going here for sometime now and have been h a lot. Staff are happy and so helpful. Unfortunately lately i am lost for words. Tonight I ordered the sweet potatoe and pumpkin soup $10.00 4 spoon fulls, less than what i would expect & served stone cold.Lately they have been serving a chicken schnitzel that you would pick up from Coles for a couple of bucks, cost $20.00 and not nice. Should go back to the ones they had previously, Panko crumbed, thick and lovely.

Tracy is the worst property manager, applied for a house through her, was accepted, but we had to turn the property down for personal reasons. Nearly 5 months on and Tracy from BeBold still has not returned my deposit despite telling me she would in an email. We are on disability pensions and this is not fair!
