Chinese Memorial
Beautiful views and an interesting bit of history. I never knew that Chinese landed here and walked inland to mine for gold. A nice touch to a stunning seascape.

Rocky Creek War Memorial Park
Great place to stop. Must be self contained. Toilets open from 8 am to 6 pm. Deb (caretaker) is very friendly and helpful. Maximum stay 3 nights. $5 per night.Great park to walk around. Lots to see and do.I was lucky enough to be there for the Victory in the Pacific service. 9 new plaques were unveiled, great attendance, Salvation Army had tea and coffee, Rotary did sausages and burgers.

Denman Memorial and Remembrance Park
Very Clean and tidy park. Has amenities there and a couple of BBQ's for a picnic. Variety of swings, slides and equipment there for the kids to play on. A beautiful War Memorial monument as well.

Mt Thompson Memorial Gardens and Crematorium
My family and I went to collect our fathers ashes and the date written on the cremation certificate was dated a week before our fathers funeral & cremation. Our concern was that the ashes provided belonged to somebody else who was cremated a week before. The representative mentioned it was a default in the system and all clients crematorium dates were defaulting to that date which once we spoke to the manager was false information. We then asked the manager what the identification protocol was and the explanation provided was that there were authorised personnel double checking the deceased details which is more alarming that multiple individuals didn’t note the error on the identification stickers. And neither representative and manager did not apologise. It was very disappointing and distressing for us.
